It sounds narcissistic, but I am constantly attempting to figure myself out. Its like a fun puzzle, and really does help me understand why I do the things I do, what my strengths are, and what I need to work on. This is why you may notice my facebook page is littered with quizzes, from the stupid and pointless "what character from LOST are you" to "what color is your aura"....its why I jump at the opportunity to take a personality test, and why I love reading self-awareness books and articles. Honestly, I think everybody should be as self-aware as they possibly can. Things finally make sense, and you can move forward and do your best in life with the talents and strengths you have, and be aware of the weaknesses.
Anyways, here are a few things I've discovered over the past few years, some things were easy to figure out, and some were hard, and even harder to admit.....but all are a part of me, who I am, and who I am becoming.
1) I'm very organized, but not clean.
2) I am extremely sensitive. To a fault. Anything that slightly hints at a confrontation can ruin my whole day, week, or year, after the "confronter" has long forgotten.
3) I am addicted to change. Whether its something as small as moving furniture or something as big as moving to a different state, I can't get enough. I get restless with routine.
4) I really, really care about people. I especially have a heart for teenagers.
5) I have an obsessive personality. Its a good thing I never got into smoking, drugs, or alcohol.....although facebook stalking of victims of national tragedies might be just as bad???
6) I am still trying to figure out what I believe exactly. I believe that Jesus is the way...its just all the details around that I'm unsure of.
7) I am a control freak. If a situation is beyond my control, it is very difficult for me to deal with.
8) I care about my family more than anything. I would choose to spend time with any one of them over just about anything.
9) I always have to be around people. Even if we are sitting in silence or doing separate things. I hate to be alone.
10) I am a lot like my mom. And I am a lot like my dad. And I'm okay with that.
And there you go.
